Mark your calendars! This year's Blue Ridge Mini Camp will run from Tuesday, August 12 until noon on Saturday, August 16 and will once again be held at the scenic 4-H Camp in Swanton, Maryland. More details coming soon!

This year's activities will include: 

• Testing for the Dog Scout merit badge and title
• Agility
• Scent Discrimination
• Scent Hurdle Racing
• Rally FrEe
• Obedience Activities: Shaping, Clicker Training
• Trails Activities: Hiking and Canine Backpacking
• Water Activities: teaching dogs to Swim, Kayak/Canoe, and Water Retrieve
• Campfires, S'mores, and Campfire songs
• Arfs and Crafts (cool dog-related craft projects)
• Fun and Games

Trail Activities:

After breakfast, we start off with a morning hike led by our Trail Master, Chantal Wagner. By the third day of hiking we have worked up to a 3-mile hike. Earning the backpacking, hiking or both merit badges during our four-day Mini Camp is very achievable. Check out some photos from last year's trail activities.
