Save the date for BRMC 2015!

Mark your calendars! This year's Blue Ridge Mini Camp will run from Check-in on Monday evening, August 10 until noon on Saturday, August 15 and will once again be held at the scenic 4-H Camp in Swanton, Maryland.

New activities this year will include:

• Weight Pulling
• K-9 Fitness
• Cani-Cross 

Although your dog is not going to leave Mini Camp a member of the International Iron Dog Club, earning the weight pulling badge is achievable.  As this album of weight pulling images shows, any size or breed of dog (with the correct equipment) can participate in the sport.

As in past years, we'll be offering:

• Training and Testing for the Dog Scout merit badge and title 
• Obedience Activities: Art, Band, Freestyle, Tricks and other Obedience Skills taught by Shaping and Clicker Training 
• Trail Activities: Hiking and Canine Backpacking 
• Water Activities: Teaching dogs to Swim, Kayak/Canoeing, Dock Diving and Water Retrieving
• Arts and Crafts (cool dog-related craft projects) 

Other badge activities will include: 

• Search and Rescue
• Scent Hurdle Racing
• K-9 First Aid

And no camp is complete without S'mores 'round the campfire.
